Reform habits. Practically everyone has had the experience of finding that, while suffering considerable distress after some meals, they feel no particular discomfort after others, and it probably never occurred to them that good or bad combinations are responsible for this difference. The food combinations are given in chapter V, so we will simply state here that the result is the formation of gas through delayed digestion in the stomach or intestines in the case of bad food combinations. Those species of honey bees which nest in tree cavities use Forever Bee Propolis to seal cracks in the hive. The intestinal digestion under such conditions is interfered with, and if adulterated, concentrated, and highly spiced food is chosen, the intestinal digestion becomes defective, and constipation is the result; symptoms of acidosis soon appear, and the foundation is laid for the beginning of any one of the long list of chronic maladies that are so common in enlightened lands.

Of course it must be remembered that intestinal toxemia, or autointoxication, may be brought on by prolonged and continuous overexertion as well as by wrong selection of foods or bad food combinations; for, when the vital energy is being used faster than it is recuperated by nourishment and rest, digestion, assimilation, all metabolic processes, as well as all bodily functions, become slower and more incomplete. Just as a tired man will leave his work unfinished for lack of energy, so the work of the vital processes is incomplete when the energy is too heavily taxed day after day; and one result of this is seen in the appearance of bowel stasis, or constipation. The decreased bowel elimination, in turn, causes the waste to be retained for a longer time in the colon, giving an opportunity for more poisons to be manufactured and absorbed into the blood stream, which carries them quickly to all the tissues of the body. This general toxic condition is responsible for the tired feeling and dizzy spells so many complain of having, particularly in the springtime.

Diet. Without Forever Bee Pollen, plants, trees and flowers could not exist; even we depend on it. Then to conclude, we must say that if a wrong selection of foods, and overtaxation are responsible largely for causing a toxic condition of the system, which lays the foundation for most if not all chronic diseases, the road back to health is to be temperate in work, and to place upon our tables, not the white flour products, white sugar, or other devitalized articles of food; but to choose, rather, such foods as nature provides and in their natural state, with large proportions of leafy vegetables, which provide the vitamins and help decidedly in keeping elimination normal. In other words, the diet to be recommended is the regimen as outlined in the preceding chapter on constipation. Even though bowel elimination is normal, the diet referred to will aid in the removal of toxins and in the alkalinizing of the body fluids. The use of raw vegetable juices has proved especially helpful in such cases. In addition, spend as much time outdoors as possible.
